The first registry page has already neglected me in its categories. My options are “I’m single,” “I’m seeing someone / just here for friends,” and “I’m married / just here for friends.” What if I’m seeing someone AND I want to meet people and maybe date / have sex with them? It would be nice if the site had a function that made that conversation less weird, because I’ll admit it, that’s a weird conversation to have with a stranger. “So, is that your roommate?” “No, that’s my boyfriend. He’s cool with it though.” I guess I’m just going to have to mark myself as single, and have an uncomfortable conversation with the first interesting person who comes along in which I totally sound like I’m lying.
